So, apparently, I am slightly obsessed with this pattern....just a tad! I have made 3 quilts and now started a table runner. Since I paper piece the arcs, shrinking the pattern was super easy! I took my templates that fit on 11"x17" paper and shrunk it 67% to fit on 8 1/2"x11" paper. I have had a Vintage Modern layer cake hanging around for a while, so I just sliced off a 3" strip from each fabric and went to town! i think I am going to use Kona Ash for the background.
Here are my completed rings! The normal size for the rings is about 20" and these measure about 15" - the perfect size for the space on the top of my piano :o)

ReplyDeleteFabulous!
ReplyDeleteI love the vintage modern fabrics. And with the single girl pattern, it looks great!
ReplyDeletei love this pattern so much that i can understand why you keep going back to it!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I'm working on a Vintage Modern/Ruby quilt right now myself! I really like the "Single Girl" pattern, though I can't quite forgive it for the horrible, horrible name! Maybe someday I'll get over it, because it does look really cool. :)
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful! I've been so tempted by this pattern. I like the idea of paper piecing it! Hmmm...
